| Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 Bottling Note~ Distillery: Yamazaki Region: Japan Bottler: Offical Bottled : 2012 Cask type : sherry Cask Tasting Note~ Color: Clear, deep teak with burnished bronze highlights. Nose:Blackened raisony burnt fruit cake, dried chocolate, vinous amontillado sherry and subtle clove spice. Faint mint jelly and quince jam. Palate: Heavy and bitter sweet with robust but not overly tannic or dry old oak, Christmas pudding, prunes, figs and burnt toffee. Finish: Long, burnt dried burnt and lingering mint jelly freshness. Unlike many other sherry whiskies, this takes a splash of water well. Combines enormous energies and good complexity, profile that’s not often to be found in Scotland whisky, tasting note will varies from batch to batch and taster experience. |
