| Nikka Miyagikyo 1988 Bottling Note~|
Color: Full gold.
Nose: Very ‘creamy’ , vanilla , plum pies, honey and pollen, peatiness, ,red berries. Quite perfect, rubber, coastal, spicy, curry.
Palate: Sweet, rounded and very spicy, with wood extracts (a few tannins) to the front and a creamy vanilla in the background. The peatiness is a tad more discreet than in the nose but there’s also a little bubblegum and blackcurrant sweets, maybe from some sherry maturing. Some pepper too. With water: the peat comes much more to the front but it becomes also a tad too grassy and looses its sweetness.
Finish: Long and very pleasant when neat but quite acrid with water.
