| Nikka Miyagikyo Fruity & Rich Distillery Limited Bottling Note~ The Miyagikyo is Nikka’s second distillery, having opened up Sendai in 1969. Miyagikyo’s different natural environment, and the use of steam heat distillation, as opposed to coal, results in a malt whisky with a different character from that of Yoichi. Consequently, whiskies from the distillery are known to be distinctively mild and fruity compared to the more powerful taste of Yoichi. This awesome whisky is even more fruity than your average bottle. If you want your whisky fruity and rich, then this is the bottle you have been looking for! Tasting Note~ Color: Full gold. Nose: Superb nose, very ‘creamy’ at first nosing, with bags of vanilla and plum pies ,some honey and pollen,slightly peatiness, graphite oil and linseed oil, also red berries. Quite perfect! Palate: Sweet, rounded and very fruity, with wood extracts, creamy vanilla, soft light peat, bubblegum and blackcurrant sweets. Finish: Long and very pleasant, neat very fine malt. |
