還沒放在嘴裡，你就能感覺到這款 45 年豐滿濃郁的成熟水果味，以及厚實、甜蜜、黏稠的花蜜香。微微的薄荷香也揭露了這款威士忌的年歲。口感上迎來豐富的柳丁和新鮮芒果，伴隨著清香的綠茶、薄荷葉和熱帶水果。各種香味都優雅得恰到好處，尾韻是清爽悠長，且均勻協調的礦物味。
Port Askaig 45 Year Old is a marriage of just five sherry butts. Filled in 1968, the casks have given up much of their spirit to the angels in the intervening years. The five casks were married for a whole year in wood before bottling.
There are so few whiskies from Islay that are aged for this long, with prices going into the many thousands of pounds. Port Askaig 45 Year Old is a very rare treat that is sure to be savoured by all Islay whisky fanatics.
Tasting Notes~
Even before you taste this, your senses are filled with full, thick, ripe fruit and heavy, sweet, sticky nectar. A touch of menthol gives a clue to long ageing of this whisky.
Rich Navel oranges and fleshy mango sit on a thick and warming palate, with flavours reminiscent of green tea, mint leaves and tropical fruit. The flavours are incredibly well balanced with elegance and poise.The finish is clean and long with carefully balanced minerality.
