文學迷或許會聽過英國作家赫克托休芒羅 (Hector Hugh Munro；筆名薩基 Saki) 曾寫過一隻會說話貓，牠的名字就叫「托本莫瑞」。蒸餾廠的歷史可追溯到 1759 年，其中經歷了許多不同的擁有者，有著不同階段的過去。「托本莫瑞」在1990重新開幕後開始推出單一麥芽威士忌。
這款東方命 托本莫瑞 1994 波本桶，以現代畫家 WU YANPEI 的水墨作品《向外張望著什麼》的貓咪作為酒標，將這瓶酒獻給所有愛貓如痴和充滿好奇心的人。
Literature lovers may know that “Tobermory” was also the name given to a talking cat by the Edwardian author Hector Hugh Munro, pen-name Saki. The distillery traces its origins to 1795, but has a much interrupted history, peppered with many owners. Tobermory Distillery was reopened in 1990 and started to produce single malt.
