| EDRADOUR Ballechin Double Malt Double Cask ~ This expression from Edradour mix with their single malt aged in Sherry casks and Ballechin Bourbon casks (heavily peated single malt). This blended malt has the distinctive feature of having been produced at a single distillery. Bottled for La Maison Du Whisky 60th anniversary celebrations. Tasting Notes~ Colour: Deep, golden yellow. Nose: Fleshy, powerful, the nose oscillates between peat, smoke, dark chocolate and heady flowers. It becomes ash, minty and spicy (saffron). Palate: The peat and smoke form a duo in perfect harmony in the palate whereas fruits and notes of praline highlight the influence of sherry. The palate witnesses the blossoming of a duo full of harmony, peat and smoke before fruity and praline flavours. |
