| Wolfburn A Little Something Different for LMDW~ ￭ Distilled: 2013 ￭ Bottled: 2016 ￭ Cask Type: Sherry Casks(18%)+EX-Bourbon Casks(82%) ￭ Amount: 589 bottles Two casks and just 589 bottles. It has matured for 18% in sherry casks and 82 % in bourbon casks. Both casks were laid down in Wolfburn distillery and used to create a little something different to mark the 60th anniversary of LDMW. Tasting Notes~ Nose: Lively, the nose is exuberant, fresh and herbaceous. Mature, it becomes increasingly fruity and honeyed. Notes of cocoa powder and heady florals (roses). Palate: Creamy, silky. At first, cocoa and fruit notes of the nose while at the same time coating the taste buds with honey. Finish: Long, the minerality (chalk, pencil lead) and spices (cinnamon, cloves) come through in a single block. |
