| Bowmore 1989 16 Years Cask Strength ~ This Bowmore is from a limited edition of only 134 carefully selected, predominantly bourbon casks, married, bottled at its natural cask strength, and released around the world. Every part of this whisky was hand crafted and distilled back in 1989: the barley was malted, hand turned and traditionally peat kiln dried at the distillery. After distillation, the spirit spent 16 years slowly maturing in oak casks, before finally being decanted to the bottle. This is a true expression of Bowmore in its natural form, from the barley, to the barrel, to the bottle. Tasting Notes~ Colour: Light straw. Nose: Candied fruit, toffee and marzipan, bound together with the distinctive Bowmore smokiness. Palate: Delicate hint of soft fruit and light peat. Finish: Light, elegant and smooth. |
