| The BALVENIE 21 years MADEIRA Cask~ This rare single malt was aged exclusively in traditional oak whisky casks for more than two decades before being transferred for a further period of maturation in casks previously used in the production of fortified Madeira Wine. Sampled regularly by David Stewart, the Balvenie malt manager, to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the Madeira Casks. Tasting Notes~ Nose︰Fruity and floral, with orange blossoms and pineapple which finish on vanilla syrup. Taste︰Sweet, almost like an fruit salad with honey and cinnamon spices. Finish︰Lingers on the tongue, with the sweetness of vanilla and a spicy, malty layer. |
