| Auchentoshan Three Wood Old Style~ This three wood Auchentoshan has been matured in three different types of casks, American bourbon, Spanish Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez Casks. Producing a rich complex whisky with incredible toffee and sherry oak flavours. The only malt produced in Glasgow, Auchentoshan – like the city itself – is a true individual, fusing tradition and innovation in a whisky now recognized as the Lowland malt. Tasting Notes~ Colour: Rich golden bronze. Nose: Soft. Orange zest, apricot, dates, marshmallow. Palate: Perfumy, lemon grass, cashews. A delicate interplay of flavours, but the whisky stuggles to make itself heard among the woods. Finish: Long. Creamy. Raisins. Aniseed. Fresh oak. Sappy dryness. |
