Since 2005 they have offered their own ranges of independent whisky bottlings. Today their ranges includes "The Single Malts of Scotland" range, "Elements of Islay" range and their Islay malt range "Port Askaig". The company changed its name to Elixir Distillers in 2017 As an independent bottler, Elixir Distillers searches for casks from the different distilleries around Scotland, looking for the best malts to share with whisky enthusiasts the world over. Each cask is sampled and only if it is found to be of the best quality will it be bottled in the Single Malts of Scotland range as a Single Cask or as part of a small batch. "The Single Malts of Scotland " are always bottled at their natural colour without any additives and are not chill-filtered. These hand-picked malts have been extremely popular and successful, with several bottlings picking up awards and critical acclaim. Tasting Note~ Nose︰Marmalade, sweet ginger aromas, hay, pot-pourri. Palate︰Medium-full, dried orange peel, heather honey, citrus, oak. Finish︰Long and warming. The pepper and spices linger longest, with a faint saltiness revealing itself at the death. |
