| Ardbeg 10 years bottled 1980s Bottling Note~ A very special old Ardbeg 10yo, unusually bottled in clear glass in the 1980s by former owners Hiram Walker. A whopping 95 points from Whiskyfun's Serge Valentin only enhanced this release's legendary status. Tasting Note~ Colour: white wine Nose: Fabulous on the nose, a little rougher, peatier and certainly more maritime. Medicinal, with lots of iodine, nicely sour, lemon juice, fresh oysters, extremely farmy, on wet dog, hay, turnips, motor oil again, tar… Again a fabulous one! Mouth: So elegant yet powerful, compact and full-bodied Finish : very texture , vividly , like fire work and excited like roller-coaster. |
