| Balvenie Signature 12 Yeas Batch No. 4 ~ The first batch of the Signature was released in 2008 to mark the 45th anniversary of Dave Stewart, the Balvenie's legendary Master Blender, working at the distillery. Balvenie Signature 12 Year Old 4th Limited Batch Release, is matured in three distinct cask types- Oloroso Sherry butts, first fill Bourbon barrels and re-fill Bourbon barrels. Each cask used to create this batch of Balvenie Signature was hand selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Tasting Note~ Colour : Rich gold with some dark amber tones. Aroma : Rich and warming, with notes of raisins, vanilla, caramel, toffee and spices. Palate : Full-bodied and creamy, with dried fruit, sweet toffee, malted barley, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, oak and dark chocolate. Finish : Lingering, with oak and spice. |
