| GLENROTHES Vintage 1995 bottled 2013 Bottling Note~ Every Single Malt we create is Vintage. By that, we don't just mean aged. We mean whisky distilled in a particular year that reaches it's peak of maturity, flavour and character. At which point, we have a choice to make: to either bottle these rare and finite expressions as Single Vintages, or marry them together in perfect harmony to create one of our exquisite Reserves.  Distillation is unusually slow and takes place in unusually tall stills which deliver a sweet, clear , fruity spirit .Maturatio nis in American oak and Spanish oak casks , a combination designed to deliver a perfect balance of flavours associated with our award- winning Spey side single malt , ripe fruits juicy citrus , creamy vanilla nd complex spices. Bottle : 2013. Tasting Note~ Color: Straw. Nose: Grassy, earthy ,Chocolate, burnt raisins, toasted sweet bread, a hint of wood smoke. Mouth: Lovely notes of coffee, cappuccino. Apple cake, cornflakes, milk chocolate Finish: Surprisingly long, toasty, malty, and cake-y. |
