| SMWS 64.73 Mannochmore 26 years Bottling Note~ The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is a club unlike any other. As well as being a place to connect with other like-minded whisky lovers, we are also internationally renowned for our mission: to provide our members with an adventurous and fun journey of discovery of the world's widest collection of single cask whiskies. Mannochmore is actually one of the most recently constructed distilleries in Scotland. It was built in 1971 by John Haig & Co. on the site of another distillery: Glenlossie (which was founded in 1876). Mannochmore is hard to see from the road because it lies in the middle of the complex it shares with Glenlossie. It doesn't have any indication on the building that it is actually the Mannochmore distillery. Mannochmore's production capacity is roughly three times that of the original Glenlossie distillery.
