Cragganmore 1993 10 years Special Edition Natural Cask Strength Bottling Note~ Part of Diageo's Super-Premium releases from a few years ago, an Unusual and rare natural cask- strength bottling aged in bodega European Oak casks, from the classic Speyside distillery. A subtle, enticing range of aromas and tastes. Restrained nose – first Smoky, then fragrant sandalwood, bitter hazelnuts, herbs and spices. Big, rounded, Sweet fruit, digestive biscuits and more spices, drying to a long , bittersweet finish Distilled : 1993 Bottled : 2004 Bottle Num : 15000 BT Tasting Note~ Color : Gold. Nose: Smoky at first nosing, slightly rubbery and ashy, with some rather dry sherry. Notes of burnt breadcrust, roasted nuts, barbeque. Quite some coal as well, fireplace… Unusually anti-sweet, I’d say, with also some hints of cow stable coming through after a moment. Palate:Sweet with quite some sherry and kind of a tingling sugarness at first sip. Lots of dried fruits, nougat, mint chocolate, over-baked cake Finish:Very long, dried and crystallised oranges, nice sherried, very compact and satisfying. |
