| DALWHINNIE 25 years Limited Release (700ml 48.8%) From the highest, coldest distillery in Scotland, Dalwhinnie 25 Year Old is limited to just 5,916 bottles world-wide. A creamy, aromatic and crisply focused mature Dalwhinnie that drinks very well, both straight and with a little water: well shaped, smoothly fragrant and with intriguing notes of hay and moorland; really clean and fresh for its age, it's drier and less honeyed than you may expect. Tasting note~ Color : Bright gold. Nose:Stunningly pure, floral bouquet offers honey drizzled malt, ripe pear and dustings of coconut. Palate: Several minutes settles the aroma a notch and highlights pristine, fruity malt plus hints of orange zest. Medium bodied with a honey / weetbix / dried coconut amalgam. Love the mouthfeel here. Finish: Medium long, biscuity, gently spiced with delicate pear fruitiness lingering. Fabulous purity. This is quite sublime on the nose. |
