These Ultra collectable bottles were only produced for Staff and friends of the William Grant & Sons company and this was blended at their Kininvie Distillery which is a very short distance from Balvenie.
A very rare and special bottling produced by William Grant & Sons to celebrate the 110th birthday of Janet Sheed Roberts, the granddaughter of company founder William. The 1600 bottles were originally given only to staff and friends of the company and a few have since made their way into the wider whisky world.
A previous edition released in 2001 to commemorate Janet Sheed Roberts' 100th birthday reportedly sold for up to A $1300 per bottle on the secondary market. No need to emphasise the collector value of this rarity.
