BRUICHLADDICH Octomore Edition 07.3 布萊迪 奧特摩 07.3 超重泥煤 (700ml 63%) 被喻為是「威士忌酒界傳奇」的Jim McEwan於日前宣布退休後,布萊迪酒廠目前已由Jim McEwan的兩位弟子主掌,分別是出身艾雷島釀酒世家第四代的生產營運總監Allan Logan,以及艾雷島出身,從倉庫管理員開始擔任過布萊迪各種工作的首席蒸餾師Adam Hannett,奧特摩07.3正是他們長年擔任Jim McEwan弟子後,首度展現全新風格的首發產品。 奧特摩07.3泥煤含量高達169ppm,為一般重泥煤威士忌的三到四倍,100%採用艾雷島上臨海的奧特摩農場2010年收成的Oxbridge大麥,以最純粹傳統的方式於島上的布萊迪酒廠蒸餾、熟成後瓶裝,以不使用冷凝過濾、不添加調色焦糖的方式製成,酒精濃度高達63.0%。 奧特摩07.3於2010年蒸餾,結合美國橡木桶及西班牙Ribera del Duero區葡萄酒桶兩種桶型熟成,香氣具有標誌性泥煤味及海風鹹味,緊接著是檸檬、杏桃、百合花與奶油等,入口後有強烈的煙燻味。 行家報告~ 色澤:黃金色 氣味:新鮮果園水果,糖粉軟糖,柑橘,甜豆,咖啡蛋糕,煙燻,泥煤 口感:厚重口感,柚子,海鹽,香草,杏皮,西洋梨,泥炭,回甘 尾韻:有力道的一款酒,呼吸氣韻都可持續上分鐘之久 |
BRUICHLADDICH Octomore Edition 07.3 Bottling Note~ Bruichladdich distillery's range of insanely peated single malts continues with this 63% abv 07.3 release, made with 169 phenolic parts per million. That's an awful lot, more than any normal 'heavily peated' whisky (comfortably more than double, in fact), but some Octomore releases have been over 200 PPM in the past! Tasting note~ Nose: Orchard fruit and icing sugar at full strength, ethereal citrus high notes, sweetpea, coffee cake. Water reveals more of the smoke you may have expected. Palate: Thick and slightly drying with grapefruit, sea salt, vanilla, apricot skin, pear and peat tang. Finish: Sweet peat smoke goes on and on. Overall: As we've learned, bonkers PPMs don't necessarily mean blow your head off smoke bombs - floral notes and refinement make their way into Octomore releases. |
