| CLYNELISH Select Reserve Bottling Note~ A surprising non-age-statement expression, released as part of Diageo's 2014 Special Releases. This Clynelish single malt is made from five vintages and five types of cask - this includes American first-fill, refill and rejuvenated oak as well as European refill and bodega casks. 2,964 bottles were produced. Tasting Note~ Color:Brilliant pale gold. Nose:Shy at first but builds significantly after brief exposure. combination of stewed pear / apple, fig paste and creamy malt. Palate:In the glass shifts the accent to beeswax, white pepper and vanilla. Creamy, mouthwatering, malt; honey, stewed pear and delicate clove delivered with a light sprinkling of pepper. Finish:Really impresses with the length. The faintest puff smoke Ends perfectly poised, fresh and long with apple tart in the fade. Seriously good. |
