| WhistlePig 11 years Straight Rye 111 proof Bottling Note~ Rare and very sought after, WhistlePig 11 Year Old Straight Rye Whisky is made with excellent quality rye whisky from Canada which is matured and bottled at WhistlePig Farm in Vermont. For this special release, it was bottled at 111 proof (hence the name - TripleOne), making for an intense, classically-spicy rye flavour profile. With a few drops of water, it unleashes notes of orange, apple, vanilla and dark chocolate. At the World Whiskies Awards 2013, WhistlePig 11 Year Old took home the award for Best Rye American Whiskey! Tasting Note~ Color: Dark Amber Nose: Before neat drinking brings out spiciness and ginger merge with strong wooden aroma. Palate: Add few drop of water decrease of spiciness but increase the fresh apple brandy note. More ice or water to delight the body, interesting shows leather, grill orange and dark chocolate. Finish: With silk long unforgettable rich caramel better and vanilla fade away. |
