Distillery: Glendronach Age: 12 Cask type: PX Sherry Puncheon Tasting Note~ Color:Amber. Nose: There's a gunflints and whiffs of clay and mud, then old Pu-er tea and a few mushrooms. I really enjoy this kind of earthy side, it's rather unusual in ex-oloroso whiskies. Palate:This is completely different feeling of newish oak, between coconut liqueur and orange zests. It's even a wee-tad bourbony, which comes unexpected from a sherry puncheon. Finish:long, more around lime, ginger and lemon balm. Fresh juicy raisins fresh and fruity. |
