BRORA 35 years 2013 release 布朗拉 35年 2013版 消失的酒廠 絕版逸品 (700ml 49.9%) 這款Brora 35年是在1976和1977年間蒸餾完畢,陳年於美國橡木桶中,2013年裝瓶,限量出產2,944瓶。 1967年Clynelish在原址旁蓋了新廠,原本不屬於舊廠擴建,但仍稱之為“Clynelish”,而老廠的老舊設備也會都通通關掉,就此退隱江湖。孰料,1968年老酒廠才一關門,艾雷島起了大幹旱,作為調配Johnnie Walker的基酒之一,其泥煤味是不可或缺的一環,因此只好在蘇格蘭本島中找一個酒廠負責蒸餾重度泥煤味的原酒,來應付艾雷島無法供應的不時之需。所以退役的老廠又重新開始運轉,原本要稱它為“Clynelish 2號”,後來決定改名稱為Brora。 Brora這個名號只出現短短的14年,在1983年關廠。在這期間,老酒廠釀製一堆前所未有的特色風味,沒想到若干年後這批極少見特殊重泥煤風味的威士忌,成為老饕爭相搜尋的對象。 這支酒香氣上表現為菠蘿汁、葡萄汁和Brora特有的蠟味,入口則有明顯的泥煤氣息,還夾雜著熱帶水果例如芒果、百香果等味道,其風格介於Clynelish和70年代末Brora之間。 |
Brora 35 Year Old 1977 Bottling Note~ Distilled in 1977, this extraordinary 35 year old Brora from Diageo's Special Releases was matured in American and European oak casks. It's the twelfth annual release of this irreplaceable single malt, from a distillery that closed back in 1983! Although little stock remains, this is a real good'un nonetheless! A proper, smoky Brora to get the fans salivating. 2,944 bottles have been released but won't be available from retailers for long! Tasting Note~ Color: Deep gold. Nose: Sublime, floral aromatics; orchard fruits and beeswax seamlessly interwoven by soft puffs of sweet peat. Second pass heightens the fruity-malt aspect as the smoke retreats and also introduces sponge cake and light vanilla. Palate: Fabulous purity. Cask strength intensity, less the fire and prickle. No overbearing oak, just pristine, fresh, fruity malt - then beeswax and more beeswax, plus hints of candied peel and cocoa in the finish. Finish: Not super long and not the the peat-bomb that some might be expecting. But what it is is something quite special, regardless of its rarity and provenance. |
