| BALBLAIR Vintage 1989 Bottling Note~ Founded in 1790 Balblair is the second oldest working distillery in Scotland. It is situated on the Dornoch firth, one of the most stunning scenic areas of Scotland. The area is known as the 'parish of the peats' whilst the name Balblair means battlefield or town of the plain. Natural Color, Non Chilled-Filtered, 3rd Release.Incredibly smooth and eminently drinkable, this is to many people, their favourite Balblair Vintage so far. Tasting Note~ Color: subtly amber in appearance with rose gold highlights. Nose: A full-bodied malt with aromas of raisin, green apple and hints of banana and lemon. The American oak, ex-bourbon casks used in the maturation lend a warm toffee vanilla fragrance. Palate: On the palate, there are raisins and fruits with rich spiciness. Finish: Long, complex and smooth finish. |
