| Glenglassaugh 1986 28 years Cask No.7 Sherry Butt Bottling Note~ Part of the first batch of Gleglassaugh Rare Cask Releases, this single malt Scotch whisky spent 28 years in a single hogshead. It was distilled in February 1986 and bottled in December 2014 with an outturn of 547 bottles. Cask Num：7 Cask Type: Sherry Hogshead Distilled : February 1986 Bottled : December 2014 Amount : 547 BT Tasting note~ Color: Amber. Nose:Oakiness strikes first here, with a lot of newly sawn wood, hot sawdust and quite some varnish. Notes of raisins, chocolate, toffee and green tea are having a hard time coming through the wood. Palate: A very heavy cask influence, with some big red fruits that remind me of the ‘blush ‘glassaugh’ that we just had. Huge concentration and quite some tannins too. Pepper. Finish: Long, all on a spicy sherry. Cloves and cinnamon. |
