| Macallan 25 years Bottling Note~ An old bottling of 1974 vintage Macallan.This was released at 25 year old as part of the acclaimed and highly sought after Anniversary series of bottlings in 1999. Tasting Note~ Color: Amber. Nose: No sweet sherry ,Christmas cake, walnuts, vin jaune, manzanilla, old leather,woods , polishes ,wood smoke. In short leafy nose,dried fruits ,mocha and motor oil. Palate: Old whiskies. Black raisins, coffee, old cognac (rancio), tobacco, a little tar, blackcurrant liqueur ,Seville oranges. Some heather honey. Finish: Long ,more on the orangey side in the aftertaste. Maybe more chocolate as well. |
